Computer Science is an exciting, growing, challenging field that has impact in most aspects of everyday life. These areas include medicine, communications, automotive technology, weather forecasting, entertainment, mining, pharmacology, forensics, manufacturing, disaster recovery, security, law, business. For practically any area you can think of there is an application of computer technology. Yet there are still many new computer applications to be discovered and implemented in that area, and you could be involved in that exciting endeavor and service to humanity.

Computer science graduates are some of the most sought-after graduates and earn among the highest salaries right out of college ($70,000+ in 2012). 

At Point Boro HS we have three classes which allow you to learn Computer Science & Engineering:
 1) Intro to Web Design and Programming (learn to design/build web sites & the basics of computer programming)
 2) Computer Programming/Engineering - Intro to Computer Science & Programming
 3) AP Computer Science/Engineering - Advanced Problem Solving & Engineering. 

We also have a Computer Programming/Engineering Club which meets weekly to solve problems using computer programming.
The club also usually competes in a couple of programming competitions each year.
